Tea Room Associate (Part-Time, Growing to Full-Time)

About Thelú Tea Room

Thelú Tea Room is an elegant tea experience opening in Summerlin, Las Vegas. We serve premium loose-leaf teas, pastries, light fare, and host special events in a welcoming and beautiful environment.

We are looking for a friendly, dependable team member who enjoys hospitality, customer service, and creating memorable experiences for guests.

This position begins as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the business expands.

 

Responsibilities

Guest Service

  • Welcome guests
  • Explain tea selections and menu items
  • Provide attentive tea service for reservations
  • Create a warm and memorable guest experience
  • Answer customer questions
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Help guests with retail tea purchases

 Tea & Food Preparation

  • Brew and prepare tea according to standards
  • Plate pastries and light menu items
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Closing Duties

  • Clean and sanitize work areas
  • Wash dishes and tea ware
  • Assist with end-of-day procedures

Events & Private Parties

  • Assist during tea service events
  • Help set up and break down event spaces

Social Media

  • Capture photos and short videos
  • Assist with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook content
  • Encourage guests to share their experience online
  • Help promote upcoming eventsdditional Duties
  • Package retail tea products

Additional Duties

  • Help maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Support other daily operations as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Friendly and professional attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Weekend availability preferred
  • Food Handler Card (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Previous café, restaurant, tea room, bakery, or retail experience is a plus but not required

Schedule

  • Part-time to start (approximately 15-30 hours per week)
  • Weekday, weekend, and occasional evening shifts
  • Opportunity for additional hours as the business grows
